Geelen Counterflow, founded in 1980 in the Netherlands, is a manufacturer specializing in dryers and coolers and the inventor of counterflow heat exchange technology.
Since its invention, Geelen's counterflow dryers and coolers have maintained a leadership position in industries such as pet food, aquaculture feed, animal feed, fats, and food.
Similar to the drying principle, Geelen's counterflow vertical coolers use flip-flaps to draw in airflow, which then passes through a certain thickness of material to cool the product. Products are continuously fed through the inlet valve and smoothly conveyed to storage bins via the unloading flip-flap after cooling. The flip-flap cooler can handle various shapes of granular and powder products.
